In 2018 and beyond, the video is the king and Microsoft Stream is here to help. Everybody is going big on video content. Businesses need to think about using the video medium for all of their internal communications, training content and help systems. I have seen some companies use YouTube private or unlisted to publish their internal videos. This is a big no-no in my opinion. What happens if someone accidentally posts a confidential video to YouTube and make it public? 😲😱
If you have Office 365 subscription already, think about using Microsoft Stream as your internal video portal. Using Microsoft Stream, you can create video channels such as:
- Employee Onboarding Videos
- Voice of Leadership team
- Dedicated channels for each business units
- Training videos by product, technology or service
Stop uploading internal business videos to public video platforms and instead use Microsoft Stream.
Check out the Official documentation site for more details.
In the coming months, I will publish an online course on how to create and use your own Business Training Portal. In this course, I will show you how you can use the advanced features in Microsoft stream to integrate with other Office 365 applications and get the maximum benefit.
In the meantime here is a brief introduction to Stream by Microsoft Mechanics.
If you have an existing Office 365 subscription and lot of video to share with your employees, start using Microsoft Stream. It is pretty straightforward. Don't leave the money on the table!
